Welcome to Ferrell Farms

Our family has been farming in Coats, NC for three generations, starting with row cropping and now featuring a livestock operation of poultry, swine, & beef cattle. We produce our own hay on hundreds of acres of improved pasture and hay land. We always raised cattle for our family's consumption, but by demand we have decided to offer our beef to the public!

About Ferrell Farms Beef

Taste the difference! Our fresh, local Black Angus beef is home grown with no added antibiotics or hormones. Our calves are pasture-born and raised with cows for 7 months, followed by fence lined weaning and fed commodity ration, free choice hay and pasture. At 800 lbs our steers are given a finishing ration consisting of corn, oats, soy hulls, and soy bean meal for at least 75 days until they reach ~1,400 lb finishing weight. Our beef is processed at a USDA inspection facility and vacuum-packed and frozen.
